About Perl Law

Greg Perl serves as the owner and managing partner of Perl Law, bringing over 15 years of experience in immigration law to his practice. His extensive expertise covers a broad spectrum, encompassing corporate immigration, such as work visas and employment-based “green cards,” alongside family-based and other humanitarian immigration issues. Mr. Perl advocates for clients with cases before entities such as the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (“USCIS”), U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Labor, and the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Throughout his career, Mr. Perl has collaborated with numerous clients, including individuals and businesses, successfully securing U.S. work authorization for both themselves and their employees. A significant portion of his work has involved specialized professionals in biotechnology, pharmaceutical science, and emerging technology industries. In these sectors, Mr. Perl oversees the immigration programs of several U.S. companies, managing sponsorship for executives and employees on E-2, E-3, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Mr. Perl also provides guidance to foreign entrepreneurs, assisting them in launching new U.S. operations as L-1A intracompany transferees and E-2 treaty investors. His representation of business owners has contributed to the establishment of numerous small businesses in and around the New York City metropolitan area, spanning hospitality, design, architecture, real estate development, and consultancy sectors. Additionally, Mr. Perl represents award-winning artists and actors, including those in film, Broadway, Lincoln Center, and visual artists showcased in major global art galleries and events.

Beyond his private practice, Mr. Perl actively collaborates with the Safe Passage Project, a New York-based nonprofit organization, offering pro bono legal services to individuals under 21 residing in New York City and Long Island. His experience extends to handling matters related to the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), U Visa petitions, and Temporary Protective Status. Mr. Perl has effectively advocated for asylum seekers, filing successful petitions for review before the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals. He also represents clients in immigration court facing removal (deportation) proceedings, consistently defending the rights of both detained and non-detained immigrants before Immigration Judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
